Bio:
Kayla is a History and French teacher at RNS, as well as the Assistant Houseparent in Netherwood House. Hailing from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Kayla represented Team New Brunswick at the 2007 Canada Games in Yukon and further represented Team Atlantic at the 2008 U-18 National Championships. She went on to play five years in the CIS with the St. Thomas University Tommies and completed her playing career by captaining the team for her last two seasons, and winning the CIS Marion Hilliard and St. Thomas University Female Athlete of the Year Awards in her final season. Prior to coaching at RNS, Kayla has worked at numerous high performance hockey schools and helped coach Team New Brunswick to four consecutive gold medals at the Atlantic Challenge Cup. Kayla is very excited to have the opportunity to work with the motivated student-athletes at RNS, and continue to promote her passion for community involvement, academic distinction, and athletic excellence.
