League Opens with Tight Games

2011-12-06

2011-2012 NAPHA league opening weekend saw competitive games in both divisions.

As McMaster teams travelled to New Brunswick to play a round robin weekend at Rothesay Netherwood School, MacLeod division teams faced off in the west.

Both divisions saw tight games with defending league champions, Stanstead picking up 4 points but losing to Rice in the last game of the weekend. Rice now leads the McMaster division with their 2-0-1 weekend. In MacLeod action, runner-up from last year Nichols played two tough games against Gilmour and managed  three points to jump to the top of their division.

After the holiday break, all nine teams will play a crossover weekend in Buffalo, NY.
